Spring ??? 2010

The year's nearly half gone,
Yet cold and rain persist,
When will we ever see Spring?

Flowers are blooming,
And the grasses are shooting higher,
Was a season skipped?

The renewal has begun,
But near June there's still snow,
Did we just waft on with winter?

Seems like something has gone amiss,
Our months of new beginnings,
Have drifted on devoid of revelry.

We are all creatures of habit,
Each missing a vital piece,
Fearing that Spring has been missed.

A beautiful day in April. The poppies are blooming, the sky is blue and the air is warm. It's good to be us.
